Lacey's First Christmas

Backing up a bit, I have been meaning to mention what favor God showed over our circumstances. Garrett was out of school from Lacey's arrival date until January 5th, she could not have come at a more perfect time. I loved having him home not just for assistance, just knowing he was there to experience these first 2 weeks together. My parents jobs are very flexible. Dad works in Nashville and out of the home alot of the time and Mom has closed her business every year for the week after Christmas. Mom stayed 3 weeks from the time we brought Lacey home, she was able to have her business calls forwarded to her cell phone. This was an amazing time I will always cherish and am so thankful for. (I will elaborate more on this in a later post) Garrett's parents also had such flexibility. They were here from Lacey's arrival date on Thursday until the following Sunday, and then able to come baAlign Centerck the entire weekend of Christmas. If you know me very well you already know that I LOVE FAMILY time and SENTIMENTAL moments, let me tell you there was alot of them.....and they continue. We are so thankful for the love, support, encouragement, many prayers etc that our parents have shown towards us! (again I am sure I will elaborate more on this to in a later post)

Christmas got here pretty quick after we arrived home from the hospital. My immediate family was here on Christmas Eve day and night (the only holiday we have truly had a tradition for over the years), and Garrett's immediate family came Christmas day and his parents stayed until Dec 27th.

We had a wonderful memorable Christmas, everyone just looked at Lacey at times wishing she could talk about Baby Jesus and at other times loving her little 5lb size!

Since Lacey's arrival was so close to Christmas we did not travel anywhere. Family that could just came to us...we really enjoyed staying at our home during this special time. The only negative thing was not getting to see our grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins....the time will come.
